A separate entry fee is required for each category in which a commercial is entered.
Campaign entries are three spots from the same campaign. The three spots entered in this category correspond to one Campaign entry.
Commercials entered in the Show are limited to two (2) minutes in length.

A single commercial may be entered in any or all of these categories. Commercials must have first aired in any motion image media during the following eligibility dates.
February 23, 2009 - February 7, 2010 - Deadline March 1, 2010

Technique
01Visual Style - The director's use of visual elements: set design, location, art direction, styling, and cinematography.
02Performance/Dialogue - The casting and direction of an actor.
03Humor - Use of comedic writing, performances, and visuals.
04Cinematography - The director of photography's mastery of technique and unique visual style which complements the concept; may include Tabletop.
05Animation - The execution and origination of animated characters or elements which approximate or mimic lifelike action or movement, and are produced frame by frame and captured as a series of images to create the illusion of motion. May have been produced by, but not limited to CGI/3D, cel, mixed media, pixellation, photo-montage, and stop motion (including clay animation). This category requires a technical description of your animation process in Nice View (We reserve the right to edit comments for appropriateness and length).

06Editorial - The editor's contribution to the overall feeling/tone and effectiveness of the commercial.
07Graphic Design - The originality and appropriateness of graphic design and/or type treatment as an element or as the overall message. This category requires a technical description of your graphic design process in Nice View (We reserve the right to edit comments for appropriateness and length).

08Visual Effects - The creation and seamless integration of unique visual elements, including but not limited to photorealism, whether achieved in camera or in post. This category requires a technical description of your process in Nice View (We reserve the right to edit comments for appropriateness and length).

09Original Music - The original score, jingle, or musical soundtrack.
10Sound Design - The inventive and artistic use of sound effects, voices, and/or music elements to match and heighten the visual images.
11Musical Arrangement - A uniquely creative arrangement or adaptation of a pre-existing musical work with or without lyrics. Required credits for this category include the name of the arranger and the original song.
12Production - Acknowledging complexities of ambitious yet seemingly effortless executions by the production team as a whole.
13Production Design - The originality and style of set design/art direction, location dressing, and wardrobe.
Concept
14Agency Art Direction - Originality in concept and visual style.
15Copywriting - Originality in concept and language.
Specialty
A single commercial may be entered in only one of these categories.
16Public Service Announcement - Commercials produced for non-profit or governmental agencies to disseminate information or promote services which serve the public interest. No commercial products, services or corporate names may be referenced or shown in PSAs. PSAs may not be entered in the Low Budget category.
17Low Budget - Work produced for $75,000 or less (including production, post production, music, and talent). Does not include Public Service Announcements.
18Spec Spot - Cannot have aired. Directors' cuts of existing or aired spots are not eligible. Must have been produced within eligibility dates (February 23, 2009 - February 7, 2010 or February 8, 2010 - March 7, 2010 ).
19Student Commercial - Cannot have aired. Must have been produced in conjunction with a school course at an accredited university (not a continuing education style course), for an actual product or cause. If work is selected, an instructor's signature will be required. Work entered in this category cannot be entered in any other category, and must have been produced within eligibility dates (February 23, 2009 - February 7, 2010 - Student commercials will not be accepted past the 1st deadline of March 1).
Overall Excellence
20Advertising Excellence/Single Commercial - Exemplifies outstanding quality in all categories of concept and execution. May have aired on any screen.
21Advertising Excellence/Campaign - Three commercials in a campaign for the same brand or product which exemplify outstanding quality in all categories of concept and execution. May have aired on any screen.
22Advertising Excellence/International - May have aired on any screen outside the United States and been produced by a production company based outside the U.S. Spots in a language other than English must be subtitled in English or alternatively must be accompanied by a typed English translation.
Next
23Integrated Campaign - Innovative brand promotion through the use of motion images across all media. Material produced and aired anywhere in the world that exemplifies outstanding quality in all categories of concept and execution. All work must have been commissioned by a client and aired on commercial media. Honorees must be prepared to present their winning campaigns in a special presentation at MoMA in New York. There is no limit on running time for this category.
24Next/Experiential - Brand promotion in the moving image created for air in display media, including (but not limited to) kiosks, crowd sourcing, flash mobs, billboards, mobile phones, in-store, place-based, and installations.
25Viral/Web Film - Promotion for a brand commissioned by a client, having its first original airing via the Internet. There is no limit on running time, and it may have aired anywhere in the world.
26Website/Microsite - This category honors promotion for a brand via a website or dedicated microsite. The site must contain motion picture imagery, and be commissioned by a client.
27Next/Product Integration - This category honors brands which are successfully integrated into entertainment properties. Media includes: mobile phones, gaming, television, and film.

CREDITS
Credits must be submitted for each spot entered. Six (6) credits are mandatory. A list of additional credits is provided if the entered spot(s) is selected for final judging. By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you are confirming that the credits and airdate you have provided are accurate.
